Piñero Island, Ceiba, Puerto Rico

Piñero Island or Piñero Cay is a beautiful island located on the east coast of Puerto Rico in the town of Ceiba and is one of the 140 keys, islets and islands of the Archipelago of Puerto Rico.

This small and mountainous island is located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The island is surrounded by incredible crystal clear emerald waters where you can discover pristine reefs, healthy corals and colorful fish.

The little island is uninhabited and is rarely visited by other tour operators or charter boats. So, it will feel like being on your own island.

On the beach of this impressive cay with crystal clear waters you can see beautiful landscapes of the Fajardo coast as well as of the island of Palomino.

Due to its amazing natural beauty, flora and fauna, this island is considered one of the most spectacular places in the eastern part of Puerto Rico. This is due to its great conservation.

As there are no facilities, it is recommended to bring towels, suntan lotion, bug spray, sun hat, sunglasses, water shoes, sturdy-soled hiking shoes, beach umbrella, beach chairs, waterproof phone case , plastic bags, underwater camera, change of clothes and medicines for sea movement sickness.

Kayak tours are conducted by kayak companies that explore this small island, beaches, and surrounding areas for snorkeling and diving. You can enjoy this impressive nature reserve by kayaking or on the Calico Jack pirate ship. This 54 foot sailing schooner is traditionally outfitted with the feel of a true pirate ship.
